Thomas “Tom” Jordan Self, age 62, of Rogersville, passed away May 20, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Self was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Baldor with over 30 years of service. Mr. Self was preceded in death by his parents Sam & Mary Self and sons of his companion, Michael Massengill and Charles Massengill. Mr. Self is survived by his companion of 40 years, Betty Rhea and her children: Janice Massengill, Brenda (Allen) Morris and Bobby (Sandy) Waye. Grandchildren: Crystal Rhea, Dustin Waye, Steve Massengill, Amanda Massengill, Chris Albright, Kevin Albright, Derick Watson and Brittany Watson. Great-Grandchildren: Madison & Kenadee Rhea, Draven & Deegan Waye and Trey & Tyler Massengill. Cousins: Bob Self and daughter Kathleen, Ronnie (Aleda) Self and J.R. (Roseanna) Self and one sister; Jean Goode of Indiana. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 and 1-2 on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 with the funeral following at 2:00 P.M. at Colboch-Price Funeral Home with Rev. Dee Hicks officiating. Intermit to follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery.
